Evans, Turner and Teniola time for Bowers

Bowers bring in three, as Alex Teniola, Alfie Evans and Jack Turner sign on

Prior to the weekend's fixtures, Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Bowers and Pitsea announced three new arrivals.

Striker Alex Teniola started the season with Cray Wanderers, playing once, and then made three appearances for Walthamstow. He joined Wanderers from Hashtag United.

Alex joined the Tags in the summer of 2022, and played a big part in their Pitching In Isthmian North title win in 22-23, scoring seventeen goals in thirty nine appearances. As the Tags followed that with a positive start to life as a Premier Division club he added another fourteen goals in fifty appearances last season.

Alex ended the 21-22 season with Coggeshall Town, scoring nine goals. He moved to the Seed Growers from Aveley, where he spent rather a short time- seven weeks, with seven appearances- after moving from National League South side Chelmsford City. Prior to his time as a Claret, he was at Heybridge Swifts, where the unfinished 2019-20 campaign saw him in scintillating form, scoring twenty three goals. He previously turned out for Wands, Phoenix Sports, Thamesmead Town, Dulwich Hamlet and Greenwich Borough.

Full back and midfielder Alfie Evans has also been at Cray Wanderers, and indeed played in their eight-nil FA Cup win in midweek. That followed twenty six appearances- and two goals- last season, his first with the club after joining from Phoenix Sports, where he was a promotion winner. He was previously part of the Academy setup at Dartford.

Jack Turner comes in on loan from Chelmsford City. The defender came through the youth sides at Barking before being spotted by and signing for Burnley. Whilst with the Clarets he played for the Under 21 side and also had a loan spell at Hyde United, before moving to Chelmsford in the summer.
