FA Trophy Second Round draw
Our nine remaining sides find out their opponents- and there are a number of eye-catching ties
The draw for the Second Round of the FA Trophy was made yesterday, and it was time for the Step Two sides to join the party- a number of whom were immediately paired with our clubs. Amongst the highlights:
- Hashtag United welcome National League North side Brackley Town, who knocked Ramsgate out of the FA Cup earlier this season
- Brentwood Town's reward for knocking out both Cray sides is a trip to Hereford, currently fourth in National League North
- Felixstowe and Walton United will get the chance to slay an even bigger giant after Saturday's hammering of Bishop's Stortford, as they travel to Boreham Wood, mid table in National League South
- Horsham, who seem to specialise in knockout victories over unsuspecting victims, welcome Maidstone United, who are having a rather inconsistent National League South season
- Chatham Town head to Slough Town, who sit just outside the National League South Play Off places
- Chichester City wil be delighted by a very local derby, National League South promotion chasers Worthing heading along the A27 before getting stuck just outside of Arundel (it's seemingly compulsory)
- Lewes, Folkestone Invicta and giant killers Sittingbourne each face Pitching in Southern League opposition
Here's the draw:
Hashtag United v Brackley Town
Hereford v Brentwood Town
Boreham Wood v Felixstowe and Walton United
Lewes v AFC Totton
Folkestone Invicta v Hanwell Town
Horsham v Maidstone United
Slough Town v Chatham Town
Chichester City v Worthing
Winchester City v Sittingbourne
Ties to be played on November 16th- £3750 for the winners, £1000 for the losers
