Faversham boss Warrilow makes an Easter departure

Tommy Warrilow departs Faversham Town

The Easter weekend brought a defeat and a victory for Faversham Town, along with a managerial departure, Tommy Warrilow leaving the club, with Frannie Collin taking over in a caretaker role.

A club statement from Chairman Gary Smart explained:

Faversham Town Football Club can confirm that the club has parted company with First Team Manager Tommy Warrilow with immediate effect. This decision has been made following a difficult run of results since the start of 2026, with performances and outcomes falling below the standards expected by the club.

The board would like to place on record its thanks to Tommy for his efforts, commitment, and professionalism during his time at the club and we all thank him for winning us promotion last season and wishes him every success in his future endeavours. Attention will now turn to rebuilding and planning ahead for next season, as the club looks to move forward and return to a level of performance that reflects its ambitions. Frannie Collin will be taking on the caretaker management roll of the men’s 1st Team until the end of the season.

Further updates regarding the management structure will be communicated in due course.

Tommy, as mentioned, steered the Lilywhites back to our South East Division, and leaves them in sixth place. He previously spent nearly five years at Ashford United.

He took over at Homelands in November 2018, a month after the demise of his previous club, Thamesmead Town, and under his management United twice narrowly failed to gain promotion from Pitching In Isthmian South East via the play offs.

He previously had success at Tonbridge Angels and Cray Wanderers, before doing a marvellous job at Thamesmead despite an extremely limited budget and vastly reduced crowds due to their move to Dartford.
