Foxley of the Gulls

Canvey Island had a new name in their squad as they welcomed Horsham on Saturday, with Darren Foxley making a debut.

The winger started this season at Hashtag United, and has made twenty two appearances, scoring one goal- but you're more likely to remember him from his time with Bishop's Stortford.

Darren moved to Stortford - initially on loan, but soon permanently- from Bilericay Town in the autumn of 2021, and was a big part of their success, playing thirty times as they finished second in our Premier Division during 21-22, and thirty seven times as they won the title the following season.  

Darren came through the Academy at Dagenham & Redbridge before making an Isthmian name for himself at Soham Town Rangers- so much so that he earned a trial with Bournemouth. He went on to play for Cambridge City, Hungerford Town, St Albans City, East Thurrock United and had two spells for Stortford before signing for Billericay in 2021.
