Freddie Sears a Chat!

Chatham Town have announced the rather eye-catching signing of forward Freddie Sears.

Freddie came through the youth setup at West Ham United before forcing his way into first team reckoning, making his Premier League debut aged eighteen and going on to make almost a half century of Hammers appearances. Loan spells at Crystal Palace, Colchester United, Scunthorpe United and Coventry City followed, before a permanent move to Ipswich Town, and he made more than two hundred appearances for the Tractor Boys.

2021 saw him return permanently to Colchester United, and his next move was to Dagenham and Redbridge last September. He ended last season at Braintree Town.
