Hall boss Weavers confirms an end of season departure

Mildenhall Town will be looking for a manager in the summer, as Phil Weavers confirms his impending departure
Mildenhall Town boss Phil Weavers has confirmed- via the local paper- that he is to leave the club at the end of the season.
Phil has been in charge since the Spring of 2022, and his time at the helm has brought promotion from the Thurlow Nunn Premier and a fifteenth place Pitching In Isthmian North finish last season. Hall are currently in seventeenth place, and his final task will be to ensure that they remain clear of the relegation battle.
He told Suffolk News:
“I’ve been here for a while mentally if I’m being honest. I thought long and hard about it during the summer as last season had a sense of finality about it to me but I still had a year left on my agreement with the club and naturally as any manager would, I wanted to leave the club in a better place than it’s ever been.
“The club has come on leaps and bounds over the last three and a bit seasons on and off the pitch, and I have committed the whole of myself to it during that period of time. Blood, sweat, tears – you name it, I’ve given it. And I’ve done it for nothing other than the betterment of Mildenhall Town and the players that have played for me."
“The club has been a huge part of my life for the last four years, but all good things must come to an end. It’s a great club with some great people behind the scenes and it will be a great job for whoever takes it on next.”
