Hatfull is back in Blue- and Franzen-Jones swaps seasides

Margate bring back Harrison Hatfull- and also sign striker Lukas Franzen-Jones

Margate have added a duo to their squad for the forthcoming Pitching In Isthmian South East season, with Harrison Hatfull returning to the club and Lukas Franzen-Jones making his first trip to the Kent coast.

Defender Harrison departed the club just before Christmas for Dulwich Hamlet, heading inland after one hundred and four matches at the seaside. The full back played eight times for his new club, but has now decided that his future belongs in blue.

Harrison spent much of his career with the Blues. He previously played for Sittingbourne, making eleven appearances during 2018-19, then made nine appearances for Gate during 19-20, before a period at Bearsted, before returning to Hartsdown Park in October 2021.

He quickly became a big part of the first team, playing thirty two times that first season including in the Velocity Cup Final, and afterwards was almost an ever-present in the side.

He also spent some time with K Sports.

Striker Lukas had a superb 23-24 with South East promotion chasers Lancing. He managed twenty eight goals from his forty three appearances last season as the Lancers fell just short of a Play Off place. He joined Lancing last summer from Newhaven Town, and wasn''t entirely new to the South East Division. He managed two goals in seven appearances for Haywards Heath Town during 22-23, sandwiched between two spells at Newhaven, and has also spent a little time at Burgess Hill Town.

East Preston, Pagham and Saltdean United are amongst his other clubs, and he has was rather prolific at Newhaven.
