Pitching In Isthmian South East runners up Ramsgate are looking for a new manager. The club announced this morning that the club and boss Ben Smith had 'agreed to part ways.' Smith replaced Jamie Coyle as Rams boss in May 2023, after Coyle resigned from the post following the Rams 22-23 Play Off Semi-Final defeat at the hands of Hythe Town. Despite another season which saw the Rams spend many months leading the pack, they were again to finish second, and again to lose out in a Play Off Semi-Final, eventually-promoted Chichester City doing the damage on this occasion. Of course Smith's charges also had a fine run to the Second Round of the FA Cup, slaying a number of giants on the way, as well as reaching the First Round of the FA Trophy. Smith was in charge of Herne Bay when they earned promotion to our top flight via the Play Offs in 21-22, and prior to his time at Winch's Field, he was the manager who led Canterbury City to the FA Vase Semi-Final.
