The Nuts and Bolts make it three wins in a row against Sussex opposition, the Lancers the latest to end up miserable

Ashford United seemed to have finally found some form, winning their previous two matches- both against Sussex sides, which they hoped was a good omen as a third Sussex side headed their way, Lancing the visitors to Homelands. The Nuts and Bolts went ahead midway through the first half, Will Dupray opening the scoring, and on sixty six minutes Gary Lockyer’s thirteenth of the season was rather unlucky for the visitors, but the visitors did pull a goal back soon afterwards, substitute Lewis Lembikisa (although it is currently recorded as Ta’shae Andall-Gibbons) giving them hope. Hope was as much as they got, for a minute from time Jack Saunders added a third for the hosts, confirming three points for United, who climb to sixteenth.
