Burgess Hill Town welcomed Eastbourne Town for a Sussex derby, both sides hoping to put opening day three-one defeats quickly behind them- and the hosts were quickly ahead, Kieran Rowe taking only ten minutes to score. Eleven minutes before half time Martyn Box added another, but the visitors made a match of it when James Waters got one back on fifty five minutes. Hill, however held on for victory.
