The Rams have to fight for victory- but remain unbeaten
Second place Ramsgate had won nine of their ten matches as they travelled to Eastbourne Town, and made that ten in eleven. They may have started the day with seven points separating them and the summit, but they also had five games in hand- and the same statistics were correct at the end. The Rams went ahead on twenty six minutes courtesy of the usual suspect, Joe Taylor scoring his nineteenth of the season, and doubled that lead nine minutes into the second half, twenty the new total for Taylor. Town got one back with twenty two minutes left, James Hull’s sixth of the season giving them hope, but they couldn’t find an equaliser.
