A hard fought draw as first welcomed third
Leaders Farnham Town were back on their own patch, and faced what looked like the tough challenge of third place Ascot United- and it certainly turned out to be tough. Town went ahead just before half time, Owen Dean’s twentieth goal of the season giving them the lead, but the Yellas didn’t give up and with sixteen minutes to go were awarded a spot kick, Anas Igozouln keeping his nerve and earning his side a point. That’s a thirteenth goal of the campaign for the Ascot number eleven, and they enter the festive period in fourth, whilst Farnham are four points clear of the top having played a game more than second place Kingstonian.
