Kassarate knocks down Hamlet as Invicta triumph
Dulwich Hamlet travelled to Folkestone Invicta hoping to climb back into the top five, but instead they were undone by an Amadou Kassarate double. Whilst seven hundred and sixty two hardy souls endeavoured to keep warm, the home contingent were given another excuse to jump up and down when Kassarate put their side ahead just before half time- although perhaps they should have been ahead much earlier, as they were awarded a spot kick on thirteen minutes only for Jameson Horlick in the Hamlet goal to prove equal to it.
Kassarate was at it again nine minutes into the second half, a pass behind the defence seeing the number six reach the ball before the Hamlet keeper and finish confidently into the corner for his fifth goal of the season. It was very much a deserved lead for the hosts, but Hamlet gave themselves hope nine minutes from time when Luke Wanadio scored another trademark goal, his thirteenth of the season. It turned out not to be all that unlucky for the hosts, however, as they held on to climb into the top ten.
Hamlet have taken only one point from their last four away matches.
