Great Yarmouth Town was the destination for Cambridge City. City drew at Heybridge Swifts on opening day after hitting Lakenheath for five in the previous round of the cup, but needed to be focused as their hosts had won each of their three league matches so far, and had a cup victory under their belts, too. A goalless first half was followed by a goal for City after three minutes of the second half, Shane Temple scoring it, but the hosts levelled just after the hour- and in added time they got a winner, City departing the competition.
