A crucial- and comfortable- win for the Jockeys on New Years Day
Newmarket Town, in desperate need of points, went ahead against Redbridge midway through the first half, James Moore with the strike, and doubled their lead on the half hour, Tom Unwin with the second. With half time looming the Jockeys decided that a two-nil lead wasn’t enough, and they added a third, Oscar Dean looking to have made the points secure. The second half was without any addition to the scoreline, and the Jockeys are five points from safety. Redbridge slip to fourteenth.
