A late goal earns the Motormen another Witham triumph
Witham Town, a point behind Felixstowe in third place, were also in London, as they headed to Redbridge- a rather shorter trip. Witham are having a fine season, and had only two defeats from ten matches, whilst the Motormen were in tenth after a rather inconsistent campaign, but had won five of their eight home matches so we suspected would pose a tough challenge. The match looked as if it was ebbing to a goalless draw, but seven minutes from time the hosts made the breakthrough, Joseph Elliott with the goal. The Motormen held on to go ninth, whilst Witham remain third.
Since Redbridge were promoted the sides have met four times, and Witham are still without a win- the Motormen winning three.
