John Scales is now Chief Executive Officer at Raynes Park Vale following a career including an FA Cup triumph with Wimbledon in 1988, a record move to Liverpool during the 'Spice Boys' era, a spell at Tottenham Hotspur and playing for England.
In this interview for the Official Isthmian Podcast, he reveals what Non-League gets right that the Premier League doesn't, why Wimbledon were "much more sophisticated than anybody gave us credit for", and why the Spice Boys tag was "embarrassing".
