Isthmian Supporters Predictions 24-25: Whitehawk

Pete the Hawk gives us his views

We asked supporters of our Pitching In Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-22 will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Pete Gibbons is our guide to Whitehawk

  1. Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

It was a great season for our return to the Isthmian Premier. 9th was better than most expected. We had a great end to the season, my personal highlight being coming back from 2-0 down to win against Folkestone with a Charlie Walker hattrick.

Also, it wasn't a great game but I enjoyed my birthday away at Dulwich Hamlet was a lot of fun, with many London based Hawks out in force.

2. And what was the worst moment?

Nothing stands out as too awful, but losing to Lewes at home was probably the worst.

3. Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Imran Kayani was a great signing, and Charlie Lambert continued to be excellent.

4. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 24-25 campaign?

Lambert has got better every season so I will say him.

5. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

It's very hard to predict as the league will probably be stronger this year- and we've lost quite a few important players and our excellent manager. It all depends on the new manager and new signings, so I'm going to say mid-table but I'd probably take safety at this point.

6. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

I'm excited for Dartford and Dover away. As well as all other new grounds and all the London games.

7. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

Hastings is the best ground in non-league in my view (except ours!).

8. If you regularly travelled away, which ground served the best food?

I don't usually eat at away games but the food at Tooting & Mitcham was as good as ever. I’ll endeavour to eat more food at away games this year!

9. Who do you think will finish in the top five?

Dartford, Billericay Town, Chatham Town, Hastings United, Horsham

The survey is now closed- and you’ll see the predicted league tables on Saturday morning, prior to the big kick off, with the favourite ground/favourite food results announced on Monday!
