Scott Kashket makes a scoring start for Wingate and Finchley
Wingate and Finchley brought in attacker Scott Kashket prior to Saturday's match at Welling- and he hit the ground running with a goal before scoring two more at Aveley last night.
Forward Scott is an Essex boy, playing youth football for Buckhurst Hill. He then joined Wingate for a first spell before a move to Leyton Orient, where he burst into the first team. He had a mixed time with the O's, and eventually moved to Wycombe Wanderers where he became an important part of the first team squad. staying there for almost five years.
Spells with Crewe Alexandra, Gillingham and Sutton United followed, and then, during 24-25, he turned out for both Hornchurch and Welling United. He was with Bishop's Stortford last season before a move to Canvey, and made eleven appearances for the Gulls before heading to help Brentwood Town with their promotion push.
He played seven times for Town in the closing stages of last season.
