K’s too strong for the Yellas
Kingstonian overcome the challenge of Ascot United to hit the South Central summit
Kingstonian are amongst the sides fancied for Pitching In Isthmian South Central promotion this season, and they made it two wins from two- and no goals conceded- with victory over Ascot United at the Racecourse Ground last night.
The K’s dominated the first half without managing to break the deadlock, but they finally went ahead on sixty six minutes, Joe Pratley-Jones firing home after the hosts failed to deal with a corner. The visitors had hot-shot striker Eddie Simon in their ranks- you will undoubtedly remember him scoring almost at will as Walton & Hersham won promotion in 22-23- and their new number nine made it two goals in two matches when latching onto a pass from Bradley Wilson and finishing with ease.
The Yellas travel to Virginia Water in the Cup on Saturday, whilst the K’s are at home to Eastbourne United.
