Laing of the Lancers
Alex Laing is back at lancing
Lancing have announced the signing of Alex Laing, who started the season in fine form for Littlehampton Town and has most recently been at Leatherhead. He joined the Tanners little over a month ago, and has played eight times, scoring once.
Alex signed for Littlehampton Town in the summer, and scored five goals in six appearances. He can play as a forward, in midfield and has even been known to play in defence.
He made the move to Littlehampton from Lancing. He was a big part of the Lancers success last season, making thirty five appearances and scoring three goals.
He finished the previous season at Haywards Heath Town, his nine goals unable to keep his side in the Pitching In Isthmian South East. He joined Heath from Whitehawk, where he played thirteen times and scored twice in the latter part of the 21-22 campaign. He joined the Hawks from South Park Reigate after starting that particular campaign at Horsham.
He was at Heath's rivals Burgess Hill Town during the 2020-21 campaign, where he made eleven appearances and scored two goals, and at Three Bridges during the 2019-20 campaign, making eleven appearances and scoring three goals. He spent 2018-19 as part of the Haywards Heath Town side which reached the South East Division Playoff Semi-Finals, making thirty two appearances as Heath made their Isthmian debut, scoring six goals- and also spent time at Hanbury Park during their promotion-winning seasons of 2016-17 and 2017-18.
He has also played for Worthing, Littlehampton Town, Shoreham, Eastbourne United and AFC Uckfield Town.
