Lawrence of the Wanderers- and this time it's permanent

Byron Lawrence is back at Ipswich Wanderers

Ipswich Wanderers have announced the signing of midfielder Byron Lawrence. Byron spent time with Wanderers last season, on loan fron Needham Market, saigning last November and making six appearances- with one goal- and he built up his fitness after a long time out with injury. He has most recently been turning out for St Ives Town, and made a second Wanders debut at Walthamstow on Tuesday evening. 

 

 

Earlier in his career Byron was an Ipswich Town youth, graduating to the first team squad before moving to Colchester United, where he also spent time in the first team squad but mainly played Under 21 football. A spell at Bishop's Stortford- then at Step Two- followed, before he signed for Leiston, playing for Wanderers boss Glenn Driver. He had three spells at Leiston in total, punctuated by short spells at Billericay Town and Dulwich Hamlet. He spent some time at Braintree Town, and signed for the Marketmen in the summer of 2020.
