Lots of Jammers

Kacper Gruszczyński, Morgan Snow, Mohammed Amir, Ellis Sullivan, Francis Mampolo, Teddy Collis, Dominic Alexander and Kien Connolly are new at Maldon & Tiptree

We're catching up with Maldon & Tiptree squad news from the last week- and there's rather a lot of it.

Kacper Gruszczyński, a full back, came through the youth setup at Lincoln City, spent some time plying his trade in his native Poland, and then played for Hemel Hempstead Town and two of our clubs. He was at Herne Bay briefly during 22-23, playing three times, and also spent time at Bowers and Pitsea briefly, playing once. He was most recently with White Ensign of the Essex Senior League.

Goalkeeper Morgan Snow was between the sticks for Chelmsford City's Under 18 squad as they won the league title last season, and if his highlights reel is a taster of his ability seems to be rather good at saving penalties, whilst midfielder Mohammed Amir was a Southend United youth player who spent time with East Thurrock United just before their sad demise and has since played in Australia.

Ellis Sullivan, a defender, has played for Billericay Town- indeed he made a dozen appearances during the 22-23 season. He had some loan time with Brentwood Town that season, too, and was previously a Colchester United Under 18 player.

Francis Mampolo, a winger, ended last season at Premier Division promotion chasers Chatham Town, playing four times and scoring twice whilst on loan from Tonbridge Angels. Francis also spent time on a dual registration deal with Folkestone Invicta last season, playing twice, and also had a dual-reg spell with Margate, playing twice in mid January. Mainly, however, he appeared in the Blue of Angels, and made twenty four appearances.

His other previous Isthmian experience comes at South Central level. He made three appearances with Sutton Common Rovers during the 22-23 season, scoring once, and has also spent time at Westfield. He started last season at Biggleswade Town.

Another goalkeeper, Dominic Alexander, we know nothing about- but we look forward to finding out- whilst forward Teddy Collis certainly isn't an unknown, as he finished last season at Brightlingsea Regent and managed to score a rather impressive nine goals in ten matches! He was previously at Clacton, where he had already scored twenty two times before heading to the Taydal.

Finally, for now, forward Kien Connolly comes in on loan from Colchester United. He spent time last season with Grays Athletic, playing ten times and scoring three goals.  He previously turned out for Great Wakering Rovers, and was also part of the Under 18 side at Barking and also spent a brief period at Buckhurst Hill.
