Many Great Oaks

Sevenoaks Town announce the arrival of Ryan Sawyer, Michael Sarpong, Danny Devine, Jack Bath and Warren Mfula

Sevenoaks Town had a very busy weekend, announcing signing after signing.

Ryan Sawyer will help solidify the Oaks defence. He spent time with Phoenix Sports last season, making twelve appearances after joining them part way through the previous season, and was previously with Ashford United, where he made twenty five appearances during the 22-23 campaign.

He joined the Nuts and Bolts from Corinthian, where he made thirty nine appearances- and also weighed in with three goals- during the 21-22 campaign. Snodland Town are amongst his other clubs.

Michael Sarpong made twenty appearances- with three goals- for Phoenix Sports at the start of last season, the midfielder finishing the campaign in the SCEFL with Fisher. He had played for Fisher since the start of the 21-22 campaign, and was previously with FC Elmstead. He can also play as a full back.

Danny Devine returns to the club. Danny spent time with the Oaks at the start of the 21-22 campaign, playing seven times. The defender came through the ranks at Gillingham before first heading our way with Faversham Town, and went on to play for Maidstone United after departing the Lilywhites. He spent time at Sheppey United before and after his Oaks period, and then spent time with Haywards Heath Town and Sutton Common Rovers. He made twelve appearances for Rovers last season, seventeen at the end of the 22-23 campaign.

Jack Bath, a defender, was at Snodland Town last season. He was previously the captain of VCD Athletic, where he made twenty eight appearances during our 22-23 campaign, and the centre half was previously the skipper at Corinthian, and has also played for Glebe.

Striker Warren Mfula should already be a familiar name to South East defenders. He played for Sheppey United as they won promotion to our ranks and won trophy after trophy during 21-22, and then scored twenty eight goals in thirty six appearances before a bad tempered departure to Faversham Town last summer. He got fifteen goals for Town last season.

He was previously with Croydon Athletic, where he scored forty four goals during the 16-17 season, which earned him a move to Dartford. He scored twenty goals for Corinthian-Casuals, then in our Premier Division, during 2018-19 and another eight in seven appearances for Burgess Hill Town at the start of the 19-20 campaign. He also spent time with Cray Valley PM.
