May back with the Brickies, and Kinali joins too
Mitchell May makes a second Sittingbourne debut, and Eren Kinali a first- as they defeat the leaders
Sittingbourne had two ‘debutants’ on Saturday as they defeated leaders Three Bridges- although one of them was making a second debut.
Mitchell May was the returning player. He has been with Ramsgate since the summer, and has scored twelve goals in thirty three appearances in our top flight.
The Brickies, of course, were the Rams closest rivals for the title last season, and Mitchell played a big part in their success, scoring thirty one goals in fifty one matches and, of course, testing himself successfully against higher-division sides in that famous FA Trophy run. He scored in victories over Dover Athletic and Winchester City, as well as playing his part in victories over Enfield Town, Salisbury and Southend United- and he also scored the Brickies goal in their Play Off Final earlier this month.
He managed nineteen goals in thirty three Sittingbourne appearances during 23-24, and six in twelve at the end of the 22-23 campaign. He has also played for FC Romania and Stansted.
Winger Eren Kinali has been our way before. He came through the ranks at Southend United, and as well as spending loan time at Royston Town he played for Brightlingsea Regent, six times with two goals during 21-22.
He then had a loan spell at Hendon before heading to Turkey, where he has family. He played for Etimesgut Spor Kulübü and had a number of loan spells. He was back with us during 23-24, playing nine times with Concord Rangers.
