Meeres of the Rooks
Jack Meeres is the latest Lewes arrival
Lewes had a new name in their squad as they took on Whitehawk on Tuesday night, as defender Jack Meeres moved to the Dripping Pan. He spent the match on the bench, so may get his debut as the Rooks welcome Bowers and Pitsea on Saturday.
Jack makes the move fresh from a second spell with Lancing Lancing. He only rejoined the Lancers last month, and has made eight appearances.
Jack returned to Culver Road from SCFL promotion chasers Haywards Heath Town. He originally joined the Lancers from Newhaven in the summer of 2023, and went on to play thirty five times as his side narrowly missed out on the play offs. He previously spent time with East Grinstead Town, and played three times against Isthmian opposition for Heath this season, defeating Deal Town and losing to Carshalton Athletic and Whitehawk.
According to the FA website, he played thirty one times and scored nine goals for Heath this season prior to his Culver Road return.
