Brett Munyard departs Maldon- only weeks after taking over
In a surprise announcement, Maldon & Tiptree have announced the departure of manager Brett Munyard- you can see their statement below.
Brett only took over at Maldon in Mid November, and since then has seen his side embark on a nine match unbeaten run- a run which was only ended on New Years Day in defeat by Sporting Bengal United.
He was previously in charge of Brightlingsea Regent- indeed his Regent departure came purely because of the offer of the Jammers job. He joined Regent from White Ensign in November 2021. In his time at Ensign he oversaw two promotions, from Step Seven to Step Five.
He took over with Regent in nineteenth place in Pitching In Isthmian Premier, having lost eight consecutive games, and steered them to safety, but couldn't repeat the feat in 22-23, when they were relegated to the North Division. Last season saw them finish eighth.
