No more Driver at Wanderers
Glen Driver resigns as Ipswich Wanderers manager
Ipswich Wanderers have announced the departure of manager Glen Driver.
The Pitching In Isthmian North side released a short statement on social media following defeat at Sporting Bengal United on Saturday. It simply said:
‘GLEN DRIVER RESIGNS The club can confirm that immediately after the final whistle, Glen Driver has decided to step down as manager of the first team. We would like to place on record our sincere appreciation to Glen for all his hard work and efforts.’
Glen was manager of Leiston as they reached our Premier Play Off Semi-Finals during the 2017-18 campaign, prior to their transfer to the Southern League. He has had two successful spells as Leiston boss, with a spell in between the two in charge of National League side Braintree Town. He became Wanderers manager in September 2023, and leaves them in nineteenth place in the table.
