North back with the Millers

Aveley brought back a familiar face as they defeated Whitehawk on Saturday, keeper Jonathan North making another Millers debut after nearly two years out of the game.

Jonathan first joined the Millers in October 2022, making a move from Slough Town. He had been a big success with Slough, but was a legend at National league side Wealdstone prior to that, and soon became a legend with Aveley, too. 

He joined the Stones when they were still an Isthmian League side, went through the disappointment of two Play Off Semi-Final defeats, and then helped them to promotion in 2014. He made almost four hundred appearances for the club before departing in January 2020. In between his time at Wealdstone and his time at Slough, he spent a pandemic hit period with Hendon.

After joining Aveley he helped them to win the Velocity Cup and promotion in his first season, making thirty eight appearances, and remained with them in National League South.
