He played youth football for both Millwall and Stoke City, spent loan time whilst in the Potteries for Nuneaton Borough and Weston-super-Mare, and after leaving the professional game signed on at Worcester City. Spells at Grays Athletic, Maidstone United and Margate followed, before he fully established himself at National League level. Braintree Town, Dover Athletic, Boreham Wood, Woking, Maidenhead United and Welling United followed, and according to the Hamlet website he has played '167 times in the National League throughout his career, with a further 110 in the National League South.'
His season at Hamlet brought forty two appearances, and he also helped out at the other end with four goals.
