Giles Phillips swaps Hornchurch for Eastbourne Borough
Eastbourne Borough have continued their squad strengthening as they look to secure an immediate return to Step Two, with their latest recruit newly promoted from that division, Giles Phillips making a move from Hornchurch.
Giles, from the USA, started his career in his home country before heading to the UK and signing for Queens Park Rangers, where he played for the Under 23 side. Whilst at Loftus Road he had a loan spell Wycombe Wanderers before making a permanent move there, and then had a loan spell at Aldershot Town before making a permanent move there, too.
A spell in Ireland with Waterford came next, before a return to England with Oxford City. He joined Ebbsfleet United and then moved to Hornchurch in 2024, initially on loan and then permanently. He has played seventy six times for the Urchins during the last two seasons.
