Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions 24-25: Hastings United
Matt takes us to Sussex by the sea
We asked supporters of our Pitching In Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-22 will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.
Time for a trip to Hastings United with Matt Kemp.
- Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?
Reaching the Sussex Senior Cup Final at the Amex- despite the 0-3 defeat an amazing achievement. Also, reaching our highest finish in the Isthmian Premier since our promotion, and beating champions Hornchurch at home 1-0.
2. And what was the worst moment?
Missing out on play offs- and losing Sussex Cup Final to Horsham.
3. Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?
Davide Rodari- second highest scorer in the whole division.
4. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 24-25 campaign?
That’s tough to call as we’ve a young squad, but Ex Arsenal youth prospect Billy Vigor looks sharp, and Rodari will do well again.
5. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?
We’ll sneak into the final Play Off place.
6. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?
Lewes away- and visiting the new grounds, like Hendon and Cray Wanderers
7. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?
Bowers & Pitsea
8. If you regularly travelled away, which ground served the best food?
Lewes hands down, the best pie & mash ever- or Margate for the burgers.
9. Who do you think will finish in the top five?
Chatham Town, Horsham, Dartford, Billericay Town, Hastings United
