Croydon Athletic boss Jermaine McGlashan is the latest managerial casualty
Pitching In Isthmian South East club AFC Croydon Athletic have announced the departure of manager Jermaine McGlashan. In a stement released yesterday, they explained"
'After discussions with the club, it has been mutually agreed that Jermaine McGlashan will step down from his role as manager. Jermaine’s journey with us has been nothing short of remarkable, taking the Rams from 17th place to securing promotion last May.
Chairman Danny Young expressed his gratitude: “Jermaine has worked tirelessly during his time with us, and we wish him every success in the future.”
Jermaine was previously Assistant Manager at Leatherhead, and Joint Manager of the Under 18 squad at Ashford Town. As a player he was a winger and occasional right back, and he left National League side Maidstone United to take his first step into management with the Tanners in January 2022. He left the Tanners later that year to manager Fleet Town.
Jermaine played professionally for Cheltenham Town, Gillingham, Southend United, Swindon Town and Chesterfield, but earlier in his career was a youth at Tooting & Mitcham United and also spent time with Staines Town, Merstham and Ashford Town.
