Rams Management team depart

Ramsgate have announced the surprise departure of manager Tony Russell and his management team. Tony has only been in charge at the Southwood Stadium since the second week of June, and no reason has yet been given for his departure.

Tony only left Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Lewes in May, his final games in charge being played on the banks of Lake Garda as the Rooks took part in the Fenix Trophy Finals. 

Tony  joined the Rooks in April 2021, after departing Cray Wanderers- first steering the Wands to the South East title and then establishing them as a top flight club. They were in second place and looking certain of a play off spot when the pandemic ended the 2019-20 campaign early. Prior to the spell at Cray, there was also a title win at VCD Athletic a few years before. He also managed Erith Town.
