Rivera moves up- and gets Wings
Kevin Rivera swaps Three Bridges for Welling United
Welling United made an addition to their squad prior to kick off on Saturday, as Kevin Rivera moved up the Pitching In Isthmian Premier table from Three Bridges.
Kevin has played a big part in Bridges success over the last few years. He made a debut in March 2022, playing half a dozen times in the closing stages of the 21-22 campaign, and then went on to play thirty four times with five goals during 22-23. 23-24 brought forty three appearances, thirteen goals and a Play Off Final defeat, and there were forty two appearances and ten goals the following season.
Last season was the best yet for Kevin and Bridges, with a Pitching In Isthmian South East title, a Sussex Senior Cup win, and forty two appearances and ten goals, which have been followed by fifteen appearances and five goals at a higher level this season.
Bridges paid tribute to him upon departure, and by their calculations he has ‘made 193 appearances in amber and black, scoring 40 goals and producing countless memorable performances during his time at Jubilee Field.’
