Rocks bring in a management duo
Jamie Howell and Michael Birmingham become joint-managers at Bognor Regis Town
Bognor Regis Town have announced two names from their past will be given the job of building their future.
Jamie Howell, who of course oversaw their promotion to National League South and much additional success in a first spell in charge, is joined in the Nyewood Lane hotseat by former Rocks player Michael Birmingham, who has achieved much success in charge of Horndean.
Jamie played more than four hundred matches for the Rocks before moving into management with Burgess Hill Town, and went on to be Assistant, joint Manager and then Manager as the Rocks reached unprecedented heights, promotion to National League South and a run to the Semi-Finals of the FA Trophy amongst many highlights. He went on to manage Eastbourne Borough.
Michael took over at the Deans in the summer of 2016, and his first home game brought in a crowd of fifty four- which contrasts with the one thousand, three hundred and fifty nine who packed the Stanley Chase Stadium as his Deans won the Wessex League title at the end of the 22-23 season, a campaign which also saw them win the Portsmouth Senior Cup at Fratton Park. Last season saw a comfortable transition to Step Four and our South Central Division, and this season he has guided them to another steady start as they moved over to the South Central Division.
