Sablier goes green
Marcus Sablier arrives at AFC Whyteleafe
AFC Whyteleafe brought in Marcus Sablier prior to their match against Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday- and he started the afternoon on the bench.
Marcus makes a move from National League South strugglers Walton & Hersham- but he is a player you'll probably have seen before.
He first came to prominence in the National League with Bromley, coming through their Academy to make a first team debut in September 2021. He went on to have a loan spell in National League South with Welling United, and then, during the 22-23 season, spent time on loan with Hampton & Richmond Borough before heading the Isthmian way for the first time, signing on for a temporary spell at Bowers & Pitsea, where he made half a dozen appearances.
He then swapped Bowers for a shot at the other end of the table, making four loan appearances at Cray Wanderers, who of course then shared a ground with his parent club.
The 23-24 season saw him have a loan spell at Cheshunt, where he made five appearances, before swapping North London for Lewes in September. He went on to play twenty six times for the Rooks during 23-24, and score four goals, before joining them permanently at the start of the 24-25 campaign- albeit for only five minutes before stepping up to Tonbridge Angels.
He moved to Walton in the summer.
