Southgate steps down
Wroxham manager Jordan Southgate departs
Wroxham have announced the resignation of manager Jordan Southgate.
Jordan has been in charge of the Yachtsmen for five years, overseeing a great deal of success, including promotion back to the Pitching In Isthmian League and some fine results since their return.
He explained in a statement that he has the chance to ‘progress my career in a higher league,’ and on social media he added:
‘I can’t thank everyone at the club enough for the opportunity given to me. I’ve loved every second and wish the club every success moving forwards. Thanks to all my players over the years, the promotion season is a memory I will treasure for ever! Onto an exciting new chapter!’
Wroxham FC Chair, James Blower, in a club statement which you can read here, outlined the next steps:
“I have asked Matt (Halliday) to take the team for the forthcoming matches with Bury and Gorleston along with Daz (Plowman-Read) and Becky (Edge) and our focus moves to what are two crucial league games. I urge our fantastic supporters to get behind the Club and come and support Matt and the team at Trafford Park on Bank Holiday Monday.”
