Stortford title winner new at the Tags
Goalkeeper Jack Giddens brings his gloves to Hashtag United
Hashtag United have a new number one, and he's a rather familiar name. A title winner with Bishop's Stortford, and winner of so many Golden Gloves Awards he could probably open his own glove shop, Jack Giddens will be keeping goal for the Tags at Parkside next season.
Jack signed for Stortford in June 2020, and delivered superb performance after superb performance, making forty one appearances during the first post-pandemic season of 21-22, his club finishing in second place, and forty two as the Blues finished top of the pile during 22-23. He went on to play for Stortford in National League North last season.
Jack was previously at East Thurrock United making eighty six appearances over two seasons with the club. Prior to that he was part of the Billericay Town treble-winning squad in 2017-18, and previously turned out for Aveley, Tilbury, Tooting and Mitcham United, St Neots Town, and had a season in Iceland- the country, not the supermarket.
In his younger days he was part of the youth setup at Leyton Orient.
