Taggart back with the Lancers

Prior to the weekend action, Whitehawk  announced that midfielder George Taggart had returned to his former club Lancing for ‘some game time’- but whilst that sounds like a loan we've been assured it's a permanent deal.

George followed his former manager Dave Altendorff along the coast to the Enclosed Ground in the summer, and has made nineteen appearances, the latest of them in defeat at Hendon at the end of last month.

George joined Lancing in the summer of 2023 after departing SCFL side Eastbourne United, and was one of their top performers as they finished last season in an unprecedented sixth place. He made thirty eight appearances and contributed seven goals. 

Prior to Eastbourne United, George played for Eastbourne Town and Hastings United. He played six times for Hastings during the 2017-18 South Division season.
