Taylor departs the Bees

Basildon United have announced the departure of manager Chris Taylor. In a short statement on social media, the Bees explained:

‘We can confirm that Chris Taylor has stepped down as manager to take up a new opportunity with another club. We thank Chris for his dedication and wish him all the best in his next chapter.’

Chris has been in charge of the Bees for just under a year. He was previously the manager at Witham Town, taking over in January 2022 after previously playing for the club and taking on an Assistant Manager role. Earlier in his playing career he turned out for Romford and Barkingside.
