Isaac Thompson and Yanick Kissi make Phoenix Sports debuts
Phoenix Sports had two debutants as they lost at Merstham on Saturday, Yanick Kissi and Isaac Thompson unable to half their new sides losing run just yet.
Winger/striker Isaac made the move from Beckenham Town, where he had made five appearances and scored once.
He spent some time with Chatham Town at the start of the 23-24 season, but doesn't seem to have played. He did manage eight matches- with four goals- at Sports, however, so this is a happy return to the club. He later spent time with SCEFL side Snodland Town.
The 22-23 campaign saw him scoop the board at Fisher FC's end of season awards, winning Players Player and Supporters Player of the Year prizes, after a campaign which saw him score twenty goals.
Defender Yanick first came to our attention way back in 2018, when he joined Harlow Town after some time on the books at Northampton Town. He then played for Wingate and Finchley during the 20-21 season, what there was of it, before moving to Luxembourg with FC Berdenia Berbourg. He headed back to the UK and joined Walthamstow, then a Pitching In Southern League club, before heading back to Luxembourg once more to feature for FC Victoria Rosport.
