Two for the Nuts and Bolts
Malachi Morris and Barry Fuller are new at Ashford United
Prior to the Saturday's trip to Lancing, Ashford United announced the signing of Malachi Morris and Barry Fuller.
Midfielder Malachi moves over from Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Lewes, where he has made six appearances this season. He joined the Rooks - alongside his manager, Craig Nelson- from Glebe, where he spent the 23-24 campaign in the SCEFL. He spent much of his previous career with Dulwich Hamlet when they were a National League South side, but he had loan spells in the Pitching In Isthmian League, with Merstham, South Park Reigate, Sittingbourne and Ramsgate.
Barry comes in on a one month loan from National League South side Dorking Wanderers.
He has been with Wanderers for four years, but previously played at a much higher level. He came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic and spent loan time at Barnet before joining Stevenage, where he was to be a big part of the side which won the first competitive match at the new Wembley, the FA Trophy in 2007, before moving on to Gillingham, where he made nearly one hundred and fifty appearances and had another Wembley win in a Play Off Final. He then spent another spell at Barnet, before becoming an AFC Wimbledon legend with more than two hundred appearances, before returning to Gillingham, where he played another sixty nine times and won a Player of the Season award before that move to Dorking.
