Two new Rams
Arthur Penney and Connor Wilkins arrive at Ramsgate
Whilst we were taking a short break last week, Ramsgate inconveniently announced two new arrivals!
Arthur Penney, a defender, joins his former boss Tony Russell on the Kent coast. Arthur played Under 18 and Under 21 football for Millwall, before departing the New Den last summer and signing on at the Rooks. Prior to his move to Sussex he had a long loan spell at National League South side Welling United. He made forty nine appearances last season, scoring two goals.
Connor Wilkins played both in midfield and defence for Sheppey United last season, and he must have been rather good at it as he picked up the players’ player and supporters’ player-of-the-year awards. He made forty one appearances and scored three goals, after twenty three appearances and two goals the previous season. That was Connor's second spell with the Ites, and he has also spent time at Faversham Town. He has also played for Margate, Herne Bay and Sittingbourne, and played youth football with Maidstone United.
