Uhlsport Golden Gloves Awards- October 2024

Here are the winners of our latest Golden Gloves Awards - sponsored by the some of the best goalkeeping equipment in the world, provided by uhlsport

Remember, these awards are given on the basis of league matches only- and clubs must have played at least three of those to qualify!

Premier Division

We’re off to Champion Hill- with crowds like that, it seems most people are- where we get to present a fabulous pair of gloves to Dulwich Hamlet keeper Jameson Horlick. Jameson joined the club on loan from Championship side Luton Town at the end of September after usual stopper Dillon Barnes picked up an injury, and since then he’s delivered two clean sheets against Chichester City and Hastings United, and conceded only one league goal all month (well done to Billericay’s Tom Bender, but we’re not giving you a prize!). We don’t take it into account, but there was also a clean sheet in an FA Trophy win at Dartford.

Congratulations to Jameson, gloves on the way shortly!

North Division

We’re turning to holy orders, and delivering some gloves to an Abbott! We’re off to Waltham Abbey, and honouring keeper Bradley Robinson, who had the lowest goals against per game record in the North Division after clean sheets against Brentwood Town and Bury Town. It was a good month for the Abbotts, as they also defeated Ipswich Wanderers and Wroxham, only Haringey Borough escaping with a point. Congrats to Bradley on a superb month between the sticks.

South Central Division

The contest for the South Central award was the closest of the lot, and after our statistician Neil checked and rechecked his figures the decision was made, and we’re visiting a bunch of villains! Hanworth Villa had a fine October, keeper Mark Smith delivering a number of excellent performances as his side won every league match, South Park Reigate, Westfield and Sutton Common Rovers defeated, with a clean sheet against the latter. Many congrats Mark, gloves on the way!

South East Division

Promotion favourites Ramsgate had their usual fine month, and remain unbeaten for the season. A big part of that success is down to keeper Tom Hadler, and Tom was behind a defence which kept clean sheets in victories over Sheppey United, Steyning Town and Phoenix Sports. A hammering of Sevenoaks Town saw them concede one but score five, and only Burgess Hill Town escaped the Rams with anything (a point). Many congratulations to Tom, who won two of these awards last season, too (at this rate he’ll be able to open his own shop).

Thanks to uhlsport for sponsoring our Golden Gloves awards.
