Walsh of the Dons

Hendon had a new number six as they took on Horsham in Pitching In Isthmian Premier on Tuesday evening, Billy Walsh coming in on loan from Aldershot Town.

A midfielder, Billy came through the ranks at one of our former clubs, AFC Sudbury, and indeed skippered the yellows under-19s side to national cup victory in the England Colleges FA Men’s Knockout Trophy Final last season. That got him spotted and signed by the Shots, and he spent a little time with Hayes & Yeading United at the start of this season, featuring in an FA Cup win at Epsom & Ewell in August. He made his Shots debut in the National League Cup win over Derby County in October, and has featured for the B Team this season.
