Defender Ben Wells is the latest Hastings United debutant
Hastings United had a new number six as they took on Billericay Town in Essex on Saturday, as defender Ben Wells made a debut after moving to the club from National League South side Welling United.
Ben played youth and Under 18 football for West Ham United before leaving East London for West London and swapping claret and blue for the hoops of Queens Park Rangers. Whilst playing for the Super Hoops he spent loan time at Concord Rangers, and after leaving Loftus Road he ended up playing National League South football for Welling United. Crawley Town signed him prior to the start of the 22-23 season, and he was immediately thrust into their squad, where he made nine appearances, notably in the Carabao Cup Second Round win over Premier League Fulham, where he emerged from the bench during the second half, and in the subsequent Third Round defeat at Burnley, where he started.
He then moved on to- of course- Billericay Town, making twenty appearances at the start of last season, before a return to Welling in the summer.
