Wright, Bennett and Bridle are the latest Hawks arrivals

Stefan Wright, Charlie Bennett and Harry Bridle are new at Whitehawk

Whitehawk have announced the return of Stefan Wright, and the arrival of Charlie Bennett and Harry Bridle.

Stefan was an enormous part of their promotion from the South East Division, playing thirty nine times and scoring three goals. He then went on to make twenty nine appearances for the club last season, before departing in the summer.

The midfielder previously played for Beckenham Town, Phoenix Sports, Staines Town, Sittingbourne, Greenwich Borough, Cray Wanderers and Sevenoaks Town. He was a graduate of the Bromley Academy.

Charlie returns to us from Australia, after playing a rather central role to Lancing's success last season. Charlie is a midfielder who can also play in defence. Formerly with Burgess Hill Town, he forced his way into the first team at Leylands Park after coming through the youth setup, and joined Newhaven in the autumn of 2020- not that we played a great deal of football in the autumn of 2020. He was part of the Dockers side who lost to the Lancers in a relegation/promotion play off at the end of the 21/22 campaign. Last season saw him play thirty eight times and score twelve goals as the Lancers narrowly missed out on a Play Off spot.

Forward Harry Bridle comes in on loan from Gillingham. Harry played for the Gills first team in pre-season, and indeed Dartford fans will remember him, as he scored against their side- twice. Lewes fans will also remember him, as he previously played for the Rooks youth side.

He is a youth player and a scholar for the Gills, having missed a considerable section of last season with injury.

He has already had an Isthmian loan spell this season, playing four times for Sheppey United and scoring once.
