Calling all Isthmian Programme Collectors!
Our Archivist, Richard Lambert, needs your help!
If you are interested in the history of our League, then the Isthmian Archive will perhaps already form a big part of your regular reading- but our archivist, Richard Lambert, is trying to make it better still, and needs your help. Richard is attempting to create something rather special, an enormous archive of Isthmian programme images- and he needs your assistance to find some of the missing pieces. We'll let him explain!
I am in the process of compiling one of the largest online programme image archives, showing 4,600 regular cover images for every club for every season of League membership, which is to be made available by the end of the year at the Official Isthmian Historical Archive site at: www.isthmianarchive.co.uk.
I am now around 90% of the way through completing this task, thanks to a large amount of research and some great assistance from a number of collectors and supporters already, but I need more help to get copies of the remaining covers. If you are a regular supporter of a club in the Isthmian League and collect programmes, home and away, or alternatively if you just have a large collection of programmes, you may well be able to assist me.
I still require nearly 500 images in total, although 200 of them are for programmes produced within the last ten years, so you don't even have to be a long term collector, although, for those who are, I do still have a number of much older ones on the list!
I am also looking for a number of cup final programmes that I would need to borrow briefly so that I can take a full scan, so that we have a full archive in place for all Isthmian Cups too.
