Welcome to...Wroxham!
The Yachtsmen film their own 'fly on the wall' documentary
Pitching In Isthmian North side Wroxham are following in the footsteps of their Welsh almost-namesakes in filming a ‘fly on the wall’ documentary about the club. We're sure that if any famous Hollywood actors would like to get involved too, they wouldn't turn them away!
Chairman of Wroxham Football Club, James Blower, told the local paper:
'Welcome to Wrexham has been a cultural phenomenon so this is a brilliant chance to tell our side of the story.
There's an amazing community here in Wroxham - the club has a rich history, having been founded in 1892. The series will shine a light on the heroes that make up this great club, from Barry our tireless 78-year-old groundsman, to superfan Phillip.
The four-part series will be released on YouTube and TikTok in mid-October (and we'll post every episode at isthmian.co.uk so you won't have to look far to find it) as part of a new sponsorship deal with Riot Labs, an ‘e-liquid and smoking cessation company.’
As part of the sponsorship deal, the 50-seat capacity Kenny Cooke Stand behind the goal will be declared smoke-free for the rest of the season.
Filming has already begun, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of their labours. The club have also released ‘The World’s First Non League Rap,' and if you are so inclined, you can listen to that on social media, here.
Good luck to the all involved!
